These Beautiful Panamaniam dolls make a wonderful gift for anyone.
Size 10" tall the doll is wearing the (montuno) "pollera" the national dress of Panama, which is popular of my town Cocle.
What is La Pollera: The pollera is the most beautiful and admired national costum of the Americas. The pollera originated from spain at the time of conquest of Peru and brought to Panama by the servants of the Colonial family during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
The pollera consist of a blouse or shirt and two-tiered full skirt. The woman's also wear their tembleques in the hair and the gold earings and necklaces.
The pollera is also commonly wear during our national dance El Tamborito, this is the traditional music that identifies the panamanian people.
